Diganarse means that you had the opportunity to answer the questions, I mean, you didn't answer something to someone.

For instance.

You didn't answer me the question about the money.

Tu no te dignaste en contestarme sobre el dinero.

Tu no me contestaste sobre el dinero.

They are together mean the same.

Vikingo's got it, but deign is not a very common word (I don't think I've ever used it).

He didn't (even) condescend/bother to answer me.
He wouldn't stoop to answering me.
He refused to even answer me.

I agree that deign is uncommon, but it may fit this context. Here's an example from Oxford: Dignarse (a) + inf: ni siquiera se dignaron contestar: they didn't even condescend O deign to reply.

By the way, dignarse en is not recommended.
