Welome to the forums, merkle!

Please do not cut the bushes/shrubs.
Favor de no cortar los arbustos. -or-
Favor de no cortar las matas.

Many people will understand los arbustos as both bushes and shrubs. Las matas can be translated as bushes or shrubs, too. Let's see what others think.

Hi Merkle.

Some more options for you:

Por favor, no cortes los arbustos
Por favor, no cortes los arbolitos
Por favor, no cortes las matas

arubsto = bush/shrub
arbolito = little tree, but also used for bush
mata = this can be anything from plant to bush to tree, depending on region

I would add that in Spain and in some other countries you never say or write favor de + infinitivo, but por favor + imperativo. You can see this difference in the options David and Rusty gave you.

In Mexico you can use the construction favor de + infinitivo, but it's not used in normal speech, it's used more for signs and notices-- Favor de no fumar, Favor de no pisar el pasto etc.

I assumed the translation would be written on a note, or a sign. I also didn't know who the audience would be. Hence my choice of neutral wording.
