Oh, this is good. Ni pizca,(does this mean I'm suprized?)
Tan borde-- that's "so borderline" or "So marginal"

I wouldn't know how to translate No es para ponerse así into English. Pls, wait for some help. I could try to explain it, but Iris will give you a better choice.
Que el hilo va de temas carcelarios means: The tread is about prison subjects.
¿Qué esperas? = ¿What do you expect?

Anyway, your interpretation is funnier than my post:

I'm really sad, Iris, you thought I'm unfriendly. I've drawn a broken heart on my cell wall. I don't stop staring at it. Do you think it will recover its former being?

You didn't seem to care much yesterday. In fact you seemed to be proud of it, it was part of you ,you said, like your tatoos. Why the change of heart? Have you decided to reform?
Besides, you know what they say "Sticks and stones will break your bones, but words will never hurt you".

I promise I'm trying. Please, believe me. When I woke up this morning my head was in blank. Little by little, painfully, I began remembering all the pain alcohol had made. Some broken bottles were around my bed. Maybe I was drinking till sunrise.

That's human nature. We are angels and devils, Love and Hate,
Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, lightness and darkness, Ying and Yang, male and female...

Please, love me as I am (I promise you will have fun ).

You should go into writing... tienes un teatro...
I'm not sure I understand the last sentence. Do you mean "love me as I am ( I promise you'll have fun)?
I loved that bit about all of us being angels and demons...

You cannot use sweetheart as an adjective. You can say she is my sweetheart. Sweet girl. And here I am destroying the romance... Bueno, ya puestos ,una cosita más : thanks to Iris ( you forgot the prep.)

Words for prison en English: the joint, the big house, up the river, the clink, hoosgow (from juzgado),the pen

So you say.....

Estuve 5 años en la sombra OR
Estuve 5 años a la sombra?

Otras palabras para cárcel:
prisión, bote, .... in English behind bars, gaol (UK)...

Note: This usage probably only works in Mexico.
