Hola, I'm reading "Palermo de Buenos Aires" in Borges's Evaristo Carriego. These sentences confused me:
1, What does "dulce" mean here? I can't find any reference of "quinta dulce" or "dulce de tiempo". 2, Is "quería la casa hija de él" a figurative expression or something? What does it mean? 3, In "no probada por ellos", who/what do "ellos" stand for? Pls help me, Thanks! |
