leerlo, escribirlo, pensarlo, hacerlo
I see these combination words frequently. What is the rule for creating these compounds that use some form of it, they, you etc on the end of the verb?
Can I add la, las, lo, los to most any verb? Where might I find a list of the (30-50 or so) most commonly used ones? - or maybe someone could crearlos ? cuida te o cuidate, Juan. |

Yes, you can attach an object pronoun to the end of the infinitive in Spanish, it also works with the present progressive form as well. Alternatively, you can put the pronoun before the conjugated verb.
Voy a pensarlo. Voy a hacerlo. This can also be: Lo voy a pensar. Lo voy a hacer. It also works with the "-ing" forms Estaba pensándolo. Estaba haciéndolo. Lo estaba pensando. Lo estaba haciendo. Hope that helps answer your question. If not, keep asking and I'll keep trying to answer ![]() EDIT: This works with all verbs too.
