Esparadrapo
I have always used curita, but I have come across the term esparadrapo.
Is there a difference?

"Curita" es la marca de algunas banditas adhesivas que se aplican directamente sobre heridas muy leves.

El "esparadrapo" se usa para pegar vendajes; según entiendo, es el término genérico para la tela adhesiva que viene en rollo y se usa con gasas y algodones, o cortada en pedacitos para mantener pegada una herida en lo que cicatriza.

I say tirita instead of curita.

Yes, curita= tirita
Esparadrapo is more rough, it's only an adhesive tape, has no "soft side". It's for fixening a bandage.

Curita = tirita = bandita = band aid

Esparadrapo = tela adhesiva = surgical adhesive tape


Tiritas de pollo = fajitas
Tiritas de chile = rajas
