"To whip".

"Please be kind enough to correct me."

And whip it good.

Devo, early 80's.

I guess whip and beat are synonyms.

Now, what you use to whip your eggs.... is that a beater or a whipper, or both are correct?

We would whip cream or eggs with a beater or a whisk.

To beat someone with a stick or whip, we sometimes say Thrash or Lash.

If we use the word smashed it would usually mean drunk.

He was smashed out of his skull - very drunk

He is a smack head - He uses drugs

I'd forgotten the word whisk...and thanks for reminding me of these words.

I normally use a fork. A whisk is overkill unless you're making meringues.

I forbid you to talk about merengues (in Spanish)! I am one of those guys with a propensity for diabetes type 2 and I have to watch my diet....

Ok?

I'm not a fan of merengue. The footwork is hideously tricky. Give me a mambo any day.

You realize then that merengue is the dance and also the dessert, right?
