¿Qué quieren decir la frase inglesa y la española? ¿Algo como las reglas no se siguen bien por un juego o tal vez durante un partido entero?

Puede referir a cosas que no son juegos también: la guerra, una empresa que te cobra demasiado, etc. El sentido es "Así no se deben hacer las cosas".
