Hello everyone! My name is Jess and right now I am living in Argentina, studying Spanish. Born en Argentina and bred in Hong Kong, I speak two Chinese dialects very well, and am also fluent in English. I know my Spanish is very poor. My dad speaks it well but doesn’t talk to me in Spanish because nobody speaks it in Hong Kong. For me, Spanish is quite difficult, especially when it comes to the grammars. The verb tenses are daunting! But it’s part of my legacy and it’s necessary for me to continue learning the language.
Please, help me to correct my Spanish!

Welcome.

He has never studied Spanish systematically himself and I am sorry to say he's quite insensitive to proper grammars.

Saludos!

Hola, encantada, 嘉茜! Yes, what a coincidence, haha!
My Chinese first name is 婕(Pinyin: Jié), so I am Jess to my English speaking friends.
I do speak Mandarin but I wouldn't brag about my Mandarin accent=P. My first Chinese language is Cantonese.

Gracias, CrOtALiTo! All help is highly appreciated! I am quite a newbie to the Spanish language.

I'd love to share my two cents worth, too if you don´t mind=D

'born and bred' is actually an English idiom.
'be fluent in certain language' is a proper phrase in English, I reckon.
Anyway, I just re-checked my post again and that sentence should have been:
(Since I was )born in Argentina and bred in Hong kong, I speak two Chinese dialects(Cantonese and Mandarin, to be exact) very well, and (I) am fluent in English, too.

@AngelicaDeAlquezar,
Gracias for taking the trouble to merge my replies! Guess I need some more time to figure out functions in the forums=]
@ookami,
@JPablo,
