De enojo o de alegría
Hola! Aquí con mi Monterroso de nuevo.La frase es " Ignoro si esto le servirá de enojo o de alegría,.." creo que quiere decir algo como "no sé si esto que voy a contarle estaré divertido o desagradable.." .Es así?

Así es.

Enojo = anger / annoyance
Alegría = joy / happiness ...

I'd say something like,

"I don't know if this will be an annoyance to you or if it will be a joy"

(English natives, please, correct my Spanglish)

Sí. Pero creo que enojo es más que "annoyance".

Cierto, por eso te digo "anger" también... puede ir desde "molestia" hasta "enfado, enojo, ira... furia desatada"

@Katerina: Creo que Pablo lo explicó bien, sólo ten en cuenta que "Ignoro si esto le servirá de enojo o de alegría", en el contexto, quiere decir que quien envía la carta no sabe si la persona que está leyendo se sentirá ofendida por la oferta que se le hace al final de la carta, o si se decidirá a participar con entusiasmo.
