Long shot
long shot,
1. a horse, team, etc., that has little chance of winning and carries long odds. What would be the best translation in Spanish for "long shot" in the above sense? (It reminds me to "underdog", although not exactly the same, "el que tiene menos posibilidades"...) La apuesta menos segura, la apuesta más azarosa/improbable... are options that come to mind... any other takes? (shorter as possible, preferably.) "Posibilidad remota"?

(Esto me ha recordado ahora a la expresión de "ser más lento que el caballo del malo/del villano...) (pero eso es harina de otro costal... or a horse of another hue.)
