I suppose (!!!) that you could write the sentence either way. But I don't know that you would typically see that usage for the word "alleged". I would say "assumed" in that case (wording it either way that you have structured the sentence).

The context would determine which of these. Yet, "allegedly" is rightfully translated as "supuestamente, según se dice"
she allegedly visited him that morning = supuestamente or según se dice lo habría visitado esa mañana. they have been disqualified for allegedly violating the rules = los han descalificado por una supuesta violación del reglamento. ![]()

Whereas if you say "alleged" in regards to someone saying that they did something, there is a tad bit of doubt introduced. It's almost the opposite from "assumed", which mostly eliminates doubt.... Does that make sense?

Yup! I think that clarifies the big "nuance" of difference on its usage and actual meaning...
Yes, I assume so... no, I cannot allege ignorance now. ![]()

Then I the two word guess and alleged means suponer.
I guess you are angry with me today. I alleged you are angry with me today. I will appreciate your contribution. I alleged you are offset with me, because I lost the money of the department rent. I'm sorry.

La palabra más segura para traducir "suponer" es "suppose". "I suppose you are upset with me, because I lost the money for the department's rent."
"Allege" es afirmar, y no me parece probable que sea el sentido que buscas. |
