Help with a sentence

This development was intertwined with political developments, not least because the same aristocratic families dominated the Church and the Crown.

I don't like to repeat 'developments', can you think of a word to substitute the second one?

I'm not sure how to translate 'not least'.

Thanks.

Here you have a couple of options (just like that, a bit off the cuff, and maybe a bit pedantic sounding in Spanish, but it may give you a lead or some idea.)

You can also use some periphrasis, like

Also for the "least" part,

Also intertwined = entrelazado

Well, I don't want to translate, sorry, . I'm preparing my notes to study. But I think that 'political evolution' is perfect.

So, I can say 'many' instead of 'no least', can't I?

Thank you both.

You're welcome.

Check Perikles post!

No en pequeña medida/ principalmente "mainly"
