¿Comó se dice "It's good to hear from you!" o "I'm happy to hear from you."? If I want to respond to an e-mail from someone who I haven't heard from in quite a while....

But ... "oirte", even though it means "to hear you", would apply to the receipt of an e-mail? I got an e-mail from someone who doesn't speak much English and I want to write back to her with some Spanish ......

¿Tambien, "...saber de tí ..." - qué significa?

"Saber" means "to know", but it also means "to find out" and "to hear" in the preterit tense or when used as an infinitive.

Supe que estabas enferma. = I heard (found out) you were sick.
Sabía que estabas enferma. = I knew you were sick.

Supe de él. = I heard about/of/from him.
Es bueno saber de tí. = It's good to hear from/about you.

I saw that the sentences at Spanish translate to English are very distinct in itself built.

I know that the meaning of the words in both languages can be very different. But sometimes the Spanish is very distinct to the English in all the sentences.
