Question On the lamb

Out of curiosity, is there a good Spanish equivalent for this expression?

' To be on the lamb' basically means you are a fugitive, you are running from authorities, the law, the police etc. 'To be on the run' (slang-like).

I can only think of escapar de la justicia or ser un fugitivo.

@Bob: "A la carrera", at least in Mexico, is to be in a hurry, not exactly to be running away.

@Empanada: Adding to María José's proposals: "estar prófugo" (the most common one around here), "estar huyendo de la justicia/de la ley".

Hi hermit,

I know the meaning of the word lamb

In fact I came across both spellings online: 'lam' and 'lamb' on different sites, but both say it is derived from 'lam'.

As far as I know, "on the lamb" is wrong (even if you did find it on a website, that website could be wrong). In any case, the only spelling I'm familiar with for this expression is "on the lam".

I was merely stating why I wrote it with a 'b'...
