Estas palabras son más fiuertes en inglés, y si las usan que esté segura

pd(traté de esconderlo sin exito y por eso tuve que presentarlo en un otro modo)

You can say "My husband works the nighshift, but look, he knocks himself
out but puts up with it/ or he kills himself but deals with it.

pero que se joda y aguante quiere decir que te alegras por que así sea, o que no lo sientes en absoluto.

The word knocks belongs in the phrase 'knocks himself out' (which is the conjugated form of 'to knock oneself out'). Don't take it out of context. The phrase means extenuarse (en extremo).

Nothing that poli wrote in his last post was an insult.

He kills (or knocks himself out) himself at work, but that's what he likes.

To knock out es el verbo. El reflexivo es to knock oneself out . Tiene sus origines en boxeo. Cuando un boxeador cae con conciencia perdida, él
es knocked out.

Ahora knock out tiene varios significados. En forma de nombre significa
algo despampanante. ejemplo: When the movie star walked down the avenue, everyone stared. What a knock-out she is.

I'm sorry, but it does not make sense in some translation, I believe that would have other translation.
